Another year, another set of announcements! We had a blast with our Blueprints presentation last year so we thought, let’s do it again! We just finished the panel at Gen Con and want to share all the news. Keep an eye on our YouTube channel for the panel recording later but for now, let’s dive in with text updates.
Some Familiar Friends
Would you believe that Restoration Games is coming up on its 10th anniversary? 2027 marks 10 years for the company. To celebrate we’ll be bringing back two of our most popular titles with special 10th anniversary editions: Downforce and Stop Thief!
When we cracked open the door, another favorite game decided it wouldn’t be contained any longer. Fireball Island is back with a reprint, which SURPRISE is available to order now! You can grab your copy of Fireball Island on our website today.
Thunder Road
Debuting at Gen Con, Thunder Road: Ignition is a fast-paced game of racing and vehicular mayhem! This standalone game brings the core action of award-winning Thunder Road: Vendetta to the table in a compact, easy-to-learn package that’s perfect for both new and returning players. Featuring missile-loaded cars, dangerous road hazards, a new pit stop, and curved road boards, Thunder Road: Ignition brings a new challenge to the wasteland. Mix and match components with Vendetta to create your own custom races!
Last year we announced Thunder Road: Interstate of Decay, a campaign game set in the Thunder Road universe. Well, it turns out campaign games are big experiences! We want to do it right so we’re still working on it. But the development team is still chipping away at the puzzle and we’re so excited for the road to come.

Battle Monsters
When we say Battle Monsters, we mean it; this is a monster of a game! Big figures, big boxes, big gameplay. The team worked like crazy to make everything in this game epic and handed off files to the factory earlier this year. Production is moving along and we’ve been getting images from the factory as they work on tooling for those epic Titan figures and the fancy upgraded dice! Curious about the gameplay? Return to Dark Tower
Last fall we launched our Kickstarter campaign for the newest expansion, Return to Dark Tower: Expeditions! You folks crushed the goal and we’re getting closer and closer to fulfillment time! Our graphics team saw the pre-production copy and things are moving forward with the final production for the real thing. The Expeditions expansion features four new distant lands to explore, new heroes, new torments, and more to add to your Return to Dark Tower experience!
Unmatched
The Unmatched community continues to grow and we are constantly amazed with the support and love for these games. Rob Daviau recently went to the All Aboard Expo in the Philippines where he met a lot of Unmatched fans! In case you missed it, read his recap here.
The Unmatched game line continues to grow too, with a total of 78 heroes joining the fight by the end of 2026. Our most recent set, Unmatched: Stars and Stripes featured the final decks from the design contest and has earned a Seal of Excellence from the Dice Tower and the Editor’s Choice Award from Gaming Trend! We’ve been so blown away with the response that we have a reprint already under way because it’s been flying off the shelf.
The elusive Bruce Lee returned to Unmatched and was joined by the legendary Muhammad Ali in a new two pack set. Looking for a co-op experience? Our latest Unmatched Adventures set brings your favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to the table!

Unmatched Digital
We’ve partnered with Dire Wolf Digital for a new Unmatched: Digital Edition and surprise, the Beta edition is available now on Steam! Check out the full announcement from Dire Wolf here.
The new version of the game is built from the ground up with new animations that bring the iconic miniatures and artwork to life. New features also include an updated tutorial, new CPU opponents, and a new challenge system. The Digital Edition will release first on Steam, with Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch following later.
Hellboy
We announced Unmatched: Hellboy as our next licensed set at Blueprints last year and now it’s time for some updates! We’ve revealed the amazing box cover art by Mike Mignola. We also announced the artists for the character decks and two battlefields!

Announcing our Next Three Unmatched Titles!
We get asked the question “What set should I get first?” a lot. Well, the design team took that as a challenge and we’re happy to announce that Unmatched: Once Upon a Time is going to be a great answer to that question. Featuring classic characters from folklore and fairy tales like the Big Bad Wolf, Mulan, Snow White, and Pinocchio, this four-character box set will be a great intro to the series both mechanically and artistically. But don’t worry, fans of Unmatched will still find fun things to sink their teeth into with this set.
