Since starting Unmatched in 2019, we have published 24 different sets with more than 60 different fighters! That’s a lot of heroes but we’re not stopping. We’ll have even more exciting Unmatched things coming down the road.
We knew having tons of Unmatched sets out all at once could potentially be overwhelming, for the fans and board game stores! That’s a lot of shelf space to keep stocked inside a store. So a while ago we decided to create the Unmatched vault. We could pull a title into the vault, deciding not to reprint it and instead keep the game line fresh with new releases cycling through. This kept the lineup more manageable as more folks got into Unmatched.
But… things can’t stay in a vault forever, right? When the timing is just right (click those “notify me” buttons – it lets us know you want it), we’ll crack that door and put a game back into print. We announced this initially at Gen Con this year and it’s finally time.
Cobble & Fog is coming out of the vault! And it’s available NOW. If you’re at PAXU you can stop by booth 2143 to grab your copy or you can order it through our webstore now.
This reprint is getting small clarifications in the rulebook, but for those of you who already have the game, it’s the same game you know and love. This time we do have exciting promos to add though! We’ve created a special set of Andrew Thompson sketch cards you can swap into your decks! These sketches are part of the creative process before the final art is made. Some of you may be wondering about other out of print games, such as our licensed titles. Licensed titles can be trickier. We want to keep doing exciting new licenses and going back to a past one would require a new negotiation to reprint it. Some doors will stay closed, but it’s possible some may open again. We did get Bruce Lee back in a new set!
